USMLE Step 1 Test Prep
$0.00

If you are considering training or licensure in the United States, you will need to pass the USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3.

This programme helps students succeed in US licensing examinations and in clinical rotations. Led by master teachers with real-world experience in the US and the UK, this 50-hour programme is a series of lectures, quizzes, interactive learning, peer-to-peer teaching opportunities, role-playing games, and structured guidance. Teaching is delivered live online and in small groups. Units are organized in the way the licensing exams are organized, and in the way physicians complete diagnoses: one organ system at a time. The format is designed to build on preclinical knowledge while exposing students to standard UK and US clinical practices.

The methodology and content organization is based on teaching experience at the medical schools of Cambridge University, Columbia University and the City University of New York.

We believe our programme offers higher-quality, more personalised teaching at a lower cost than existing test-prep options. Our focus is on adaptability to individual learning needs and efficient use of students’ time.

If you are motivated to join a Spring or summer 2026 Step 1 cohort, please email us for further details.

Elliot Goodman, MA, MB, BChir, MBA

Chief Education Officer

GMC-registered and US board-certified former consultant surgeon. Dr Goodman previously served as Director of Organ Systems and Surgical Education at the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Medicine, preparing over 70 students annually for USMLE Steps 1 and 2, and as Executive Clinical Dean at multiple international medical schools overseeing Step 2 preparation for more than 200 students per year. He currently teaches anatomy at King's College London and the University of Cambridge, and is a Surgical Trainer with the London School of Surgery at Imperial College London.

What trainees say about our teaching

“I had the opportunity to learn from Dr. Goodman during both pre-clinical coursework, anatomy, as well as through involvement in virtual reality–based anatomy research. He is an exceptional educator who consistently makes complex concepts clear, structured, and highly approachable. His teaching in both large and small group settings is engaging and encourages active participation, which significantly strengthens understanding and retention. I would highly recommend Dr. Goodman to any student looking for both high quality instruction and meaningful mentorship.”

As an incoming surgical resident at a major academic center in New York City, I often reflect on the path that brought me here and the mentors who shaped it. Dr. Elliot Goodman stands out not only as an early influence, but as a truly exceptional educator. During our years in the same academic environment, I experienced firsthand his rare ability to transform complex material into something clear, memorable, and clinically meaningful.

Dr. Goodman teaches through narrative. He integrates real clinical experience with guidelines and decision-making frameworks, helping students understand not just what to know, but how to think. His sessions consistently bridge the gap between foundational science and real-world application, which is exactly what Step 1 and Step 2CK demand. Having gone through both exams myself, I can say that developing a clinical mindset early is something many students lack. Dr. Goodman directly addresses that gap in the preparation process. Whether speaking to a lecture hall of 100 students or leading an intimate small-group session, he has a unique command of the room and engages every learner. His teaching does more than prepare you for an exam. It elevates the way you approach medicine.

For any medical student serious about advancing their Step 1 or Step 2CK preparation, Dr. Goodman and his network are invaluable resources. And yes, the English accent does not hurt.”

  • Halley Yung, MS4 CUNY, Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY

“Dr Goodman’s ability to break down complex medical concepts into clear, digestible explanations made even the most challenging topics approachable. Each session was well-structured, engaging, and thoughtfully delivered, reflecting both deep subject expertise and a genuine commitment to student understanding. Dr Goodman’s teaching style encouraged active participation and critical thinking, which significantly enhanced my confidence and retention of the material.

Beyond his academic excellence, what truly sets Dr Goodman apart is his dedication to student success. He was consistently approachable, patient, and willing to provide additional support when needed. His enthusiasm for medicine was evident in every lecture and served as a strong source of motivation. I am grateful for the impact Dr Goodman had on my learning experience and would highly recommend him to any medical student seeking both knowledge and inspiration.”
